The second annual Moraga Community Service Days was a great success.  Over 450 volunteers from many Moraga Organizations participated in 13 service projects that benefited organizations serving Moraga and the East Bay, including a blood drive, donation of 1,335 meals for the homeless, and beautification of our schools, among others.

The Kiwanis Club of Moraga Valley partnered with the Moraga School District to staff and run basic gardening and landscaping projects for the three elementary schools. The school beautification projects brought in 150 community members, including many students, and exceeded our wildest expectations. Many Kiwanis Club members and the school Principals participated.

Thanks go to the leadership of Julie Parks (MSD), Andy Boggeri and Karla Juarez (Lions), Bobbie Preston, Katie Bidstrup (Chamber of Commerce), Larry Jacobs (Kiwanis), Janice Lieu (Garden Club), Wendell Baker (iKind), Ann Drevno (Saint Mary's), Brent Rubey (Campolindo) and Mike McCluer (Rotary), including our Kiwanis Club’s Larry Jacobs, for giving so many Moraga residents the opportunity to join together to serve others.
