The BACN is a long-standing nonprofit whose mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect by offering critical services to families during difficult times. They create a warm, safe, and loving environment where children receive short-term care while their parents address challenging circumstances. The job is to paint a large children's playroom where the murals of animals are causing some discomfort to toddlers with cognitive challenges The Project will take place on August 31, 7 - 12:30 PM and on Sept 2, same time.

The speaker will be Kiwanis Club of Moraga Valley member Jim O’Brient, who will speak on a topic of geology, “Zealandia: The 8th and hidden continent - a brief tour of the geology, cultural highlights, and awesome scenery." This was a trip of a lifetime, visiting a magical land of Maori, Hobbits, wine, and volcanoes.

The speaker will be Kiwanis Club of Moraga Valley member Bruce Kronmiller, whose presentation will be "Papua New Guinea - Into the Wild, a Land of the Unexpected." The program will provide an insight into the physical features of the 3rd largest island in the world, tracking 7 endemic bird families, and a fascinating visit to a highlands cultural festival.
